Cork City and Dundalk kept apart in the FAI Cup draw yet again as Bohs travel to Derry

The holders Cork City and Dundalk could yet compete in a fourth successive FAI Cup finals as the top two teams in the country were again kept apart in the quarter-final draw.

The two have come to dominate both league and cup in recent seasons, sharing the last three FAI Cups and four leagues, and that trend looks set to continue.

Neither side has lost a game outside the final since 2014, when neither side made the semi-finals, and they haven't been drawn together since 1989.

John Caulfield's Rebel Army have been drawn away to Longford Town – an identical draw to this stage last year – while Dundalk face a trip to Limerick.

City ran out comfortable 4-1 winners over Longford at City Calling Stadium last year thanks to goals from Kieran Sadlier, Jimmy Keohane and a brace from Karl Sheppard.

The Leesiders are so far yet to meet Premier Division opposition, having seen off non-league opponents Home Farm and Maynooth University Town to date.

Dundalk face Premier Division opposition for the first time after victories over First Division sides Cobh Ramblers and Finn Harps in previous rounds.

First Division high-fliers UCD host last season's second-tier champions Waterford at the UCD Bowl after scraping by Leinster Senior League side CIE Ranch in extra time.

Arguably the pick of the round sees Bohemians travel to Derry City, the two sides having scored nine and 13 goals respectively in their two games to date.

Bohs ran out easy 2-0 winners over Galway United at Eamonn Deacy Park while Ger Doherty's penalty save from Conan Byrne was the last kick of the game in a 1-0 win over St Patrick's Athletic.
