Defender Ian Mylod leaves Cobh Ramblers by mutual consent

Cobh Ramblers defender Ian Mylod has left the club due to work commitments.

The versatile Corkman – who has played in several positions across defence and midfied – has spent the past three seasons with the St Colman's Park club.

The 24-year-old – whose brother Adam is a goalkeeper with Rams – came through the ranks with Cork City before signing for UCC in 2012.

He joined the Rams ahead of the 2016 season and became a regular part of the side that reached the promotion play-offs the same year.

His final appearance for Cobh came as a first-half substitute during the 1-0 league defeat to Longford Town at St Colman's Park at the beginning of May.

A club statement read: “We wish to announce that Ian Mylod has left the squad due to work commitments.

“We would like to thank Ian for his valuable contribution to the squad since joining from UCC in 2015 and we wish him well in his future endeavours.”
