The Extratime.ie Sportscast Episode 107 - Rianna Jarrett - Robbie Benson

On the latest edition of the extratime.ie Sportscast, Dec and Dave are joined by Wexford Youths striker Rianna Jarrett and Dundalk midfielder Robbie Benson.

Jarrett, a league winner for the third time with Youths in 2017, spoke about her struggles with injury as she came back not once, not twice, but three times from ruptured ACLs.

Two of those injuries came while on international duty, while they've also denied her the opportunity to play in Youths' two previous Champions League campaigns.

Jarrett talks to the Sportscast about the resilience she's had to show to work her way back from those serious injuries and the goals she's setting herself for this year.

The lads also talk to Athlone native Benson as the Lilywhites look to make history this weekend and become the first side to keep clean sheets in each of their first eight league games.

We discuss reasons for Dundalk's newfound defensive rectitude and discuss what Dundalk may need to kick onto the next level and compete in Europe once again.

There's also discussion on the international front following a much-changed Ireland side's 1-0 defeat to Turkey in a friendly in Antalya.

Dec and Dave also run through last week's League of Ireland and Women's National League action and take a look ahead to this weekend's fixtures.
