Watch: Late Cole and McEneff goals help Derry to derby win at Finn Park

Late goals from Darren Cole and Aaron McEneff saw Derry City back up to third place as they beat Finn Harps 2-0 at Finn Park on Monday evening.

The Candystripes gained a measure of revenge over their local rivals for the 2-0 defeat at Maginn Park earlier this season and leapt back above Shamrock Rovers in the table as a result.

The sides went in scoreless at the break after Rory Patterson had drawn a good close-range save from Ciaran Gallagher in the Harps goal while Sean Houston headed just wide at the other end.

New signing Ibrahim Keita made his first start for Harps and he had a great chance to put his side ahead when he turned Cole in the box, but the ex-Rangers defender recovered to make a great block.

It was Cole who provided the decisive finish three minutes from time, lashing home from inside the box after Harps had failed to deal with Nicky Low's corner from the right.

And Low set in motion the move that led to the clincher in injury time, picking out Patterson on the counter, who flicked through for McEneff to round Gallagher and calmly slot the ball into the net.
