The FAI have announced that all EA Sports Cup First Round fixtures, scheduled to take place tomorrow, have been postponed as a mark of respect to the late Ryan McBride.

The Derry City captain passed away suddenly at his home in Derry on Sunday evening.

McBride had captained his side to a 4-0 victory over Drogheda United on Saturday and had scored in Derry's recent victories over both Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk.

It has also been confirmed that Derry City's Premier Division fixtures against Limerick, scheduled for tomorrow, and the Candystripes’ game away to Galway, scheduled for Saturday, March 25th, have also been postponed.

New dates and times for the postponed fixtures are to be announced in due course.
