Watch: Galway United beat Athlone Town 2-1 in pre-season friendly

Galway United's flawless pre-season continued last Friday with a 2-1 win over Athlone Town at Eamonn Deacy Park.

It was Athlone's first pre-season game, their scheduled friendly with Finn Harps having been cancelled at short notice, and they fell behind on the half hour courtesy of Kevin Devaney's long-range strike.

Jason Lyons equalised from close range just before half time, but Vinny Faherty scored in the seventh minute of injury time as the game finished 2-1 to the Tribesmen.
