Stuart Taylor's Limerick charges will take to the home of the champions on Saturday to try to end Sligo Rovers' 100% start to the season. Having had wins at the Brandywell and Oriel Park as well as a convincing 3-0 win against Bray Wanderers, the Bit O' Red look in fine form ahead of the visit of the Blues.

Manager Stuart Taylor has no fears coming into the clash however, as he believes his side will play their own game by keeping it on the deck.

“The boys are looking forward to the game. There's a lot of confidence about the dressing room so the games can't come quick enough, particularly this one. It's against the league leaders, the league holders and a fantastic side who have got a fantastic football pitch. The biggest thing for our boys is to go and pass the ball. They've certainly got a fantastic pitch to go and express themselves on.”

Limerick will have both Axel Bossekota and Aaron Brown available for the tie. Bossekota picked up a three match ban but having served one third of that against UCD, the ban now skips a week, ensuring he's eligible to play in the Showgrounds.

The Limerick boss has described Jeffrey Judge as “back in contention” while the game has probably come just too early for the striking duo of Dominic Foley and Rory Gaffney. Taylor accepted the blame for Gaffney's extended spell on the sidelines, explaining that he was too eager to see his qualities on a football pitch, and thus, lengthening his absence from first-team action.

Speaking about his opponents, Taylor was appreciative of the work going on at Rovers and praised their work ethic. “Sligo Rovers are top for a reason – because they've been the best team in the three games that they've played. All credit to them and Ian Baraclough; a man who has got a fantastic philosophy. What I admire about him most is the balance he's got in his team. He's got great experience and they all know their own jobs.

“They pass the ball really well and I understand why people say the pressure's on them with the team they've got. We're going up there – an away game with a fantastic pitch and we'll look to stamp our own philosophy on the pitch by passing the ball. The boys will enjoy it. Sligo have a nice pitch and a nice bunch of supporters. It's a great day out for our fans too.”
