As the countdown to the season continues, Stephen Kenny has further added to his squad today with the acquisition of the experienced Mark Rossiter.

Rossiter joins the Lilywhites having been in the PFAI squad which travelled to Norway last week and spent the 2012 season at Liam Buckley’s St. Patrick’s Athletic.

The 29-year-old is a player who will add much needed experience and versatility to Kenny’s impressive looking squad. Rossiter can play anywhere across the back four and in midfield. His previous time at Bohemians, securing two league titles, an FAI Cup and Setanta Cup, will surely prove to be of huge benefit to the border club.

Kenny is assembling his first squad for the Louth club and so far has included some notable players which now include Rossiter. He is now the 15th member of the roster and joins the re-signed Eoghan Osbourne, John Mountney, Stephen McDonnell and Peter Cherrie along with the new recruits of John Dillon, Patrick Hoban, Keith Ward, Andy Boyle, Dane Massey,Tiarnan Mulvenna, Richie Towell, Stephen O’Donnell, Kurtis Byrne and John Sullivan. These are busy times for the Lilywhites and further signings are expected in the coming days as Kenny finalises his squad. Stay tuned to extratime.ie for all the latest news from Oriel Park!
