Draw made for FAI Cup First Round

St. Patrick’s Athletic lifted the FAI Cup last November after beating Bohemians in the final.

The journey to the Aviva for the 2024 season is under way with the draw for the FAI Cup first round made on Tuesday.

The ties are to be played on the week-ending Sunday, May 19.

The 20 League of Ireland clubs won’t join till the fray until the second round and so today’s draw was all about the non-league sides who hope to soon enter the hat with the clubs from the top two tiers of football in Ireland. 

Four teams are guaranteed a spot in that second round as Carrigaline United, Ringmahon Rangers, Leeds, and Kilbarrack United all received byes in the draw.

First Round draw in full:

College Corinthians v Cobh Wanderers

Wayside Celtic v Collinstown

Cockhill Celtic v Airfield United

Pike Rovers v Villa



Midleton v St. Francis

Wilton United v Glebe North

Ballyfermot United v Rockmount

Maynooth University Town v Gorey Rangers
