Former Saints goalkeeper Tyson Farago returns to Canada to join Winnipeg

World Soccer Academy Winnipeg have announced the signing of Tyson Farago from St Patrick’s Athletic.

The Canadian joined the Saints in March and made three Premier Division appearances as well as one in an EA Sports Cup loss on penalties to Dundalk.

Farago played for Winnipeg in 2013 before going on to spend four years at FC Edmonton where he made 24 appearances.

“Tyson trains with us when his pro teams are on a break and we are lucky enough this time to have him available during the PDL season,” Winnipeg head coach Eduardo Badescu said speaking to the club’s website.

“He’s an example for all soccer players in Winnipeg that want to be a professional so we are excited to have him join the guys.”

Winnipeg have three games left in their current Premier Development League season and Farago could feature in the two games against the St Louis Lions and the closing match against Kaw Valley.
