We have a star-studded line-up for you on the final extratime.ie Sportscast ahead of the 2018 SSE Airtricity League league season.

In studio, presenter Declan Marron and senior reporter Dave Donnelly look back on Sunday's President's Cup meeting between Cork City and Dundalk at Oriel Park.

The double-winners ran out 4-2 winners on an entertaining day on and off the pitch, coming back from 2-0 down following a Ronan Murray brace to wrest the tie back with four unanswered strikes.

Dave and fellow extratime.ie reporter Paul Corcoran were on hand to attend the league launch at Lansdowne Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Paul managed to speak to FAI director of competitions Fran Gavin about the association's €250,000 cash injection into the underage National League too help clubs manage the costs.

Paul also spoke to Dundalk boss Stephen Kenny, who talked about the 'epic battle' ahead in what he sees as the most competitive Premier Division in years.

And he also spoke to Galway United manager Shane Keegan, who spoke about the disastrous pre-season his side have had with Mervue United withdrawing permission to train at their ground.

Dave talked to the managers of Dublin sides St Patrick's Athletic and Shamrock Rovers, Liam Buckley and Stephen Bradley, as they look to improve upon contrasting experienced in 2017.

Finally, the lads give their predictions for the upcoming Premier Division season, including full predictions for how the table will look come November.
