Watch: Madden's injury-time winner crushes Harps

Shamrock Rovers and Finn Harps served up a goalfest at Tallaght Stadium on Friday night as Simon Madden's last-gasp strike earned the Hoops a 3-2 win over their unlucky opponents.

Rovers started the game much the brighter and took an early 2-0 lead as first David McAllister, then captain Ronan Finn, thumped in long-range strikes off the bar and post respectively.

Harps grew into the game, however, and they pulled one back when Sean Houston outmuscled David Webster and played in Caolan McAleer, who finished neatly from just inside the box.

The equaliser came six minutes later when Paddy McCourt stood over a free kick just outside the area and bent the ball through the wall and into the corner of Tomer Chencinski's net.

The Hoops had the last laugh however, as Harps failed to deal with a cross and Killian Cantwell's clearance looped for Madden to expertly cushion a side-footed volley past Ciaran Gallagher.
