Longford Town sign Dylan McGlade from Pats

Longford Town have completed the signing of winger Dylan McGlade from St Patrick's Athletic.

 

The Dubliner joined the Saints from Shelbourne at the beginning of last season but found first team opportunities difficult to come by.

 

The 21-year-old was restricted to just five substitute appearances in the league for the Saints, his only starts cup wins over Dundalk and Pike Rovers.

 

McGlade played his underage football for Swords Celtic and Malahide United before joining Middlesbrough at the age of 16.

 

He returnd to Ireland in 2013 and joined Shelbourne's under-19 side before making the step up to the senior side the following year.

 



In his breakthrough season in 2015, McGlade made 21 league appearances and scored four times as he was selected in the PFAI First Division team of the year.
