St Pats re-sign Bolger and Clarke

St Patricks Athletic have announced the re-signing of Greg Bolger and Brendan Clarke as they continue to build their squad ahead of the 2013 season.

Greg Bolger, a Wexford native, missed out on this year’s FAI Cup Final defeat to Derry City through injury. The former Dundalk and UCD man signed for his first spell at the Saints last year, and gained some rave reviews in the early weeks of the campaign, turning in some stellar performances in a highly productive midfield trio with James Chambers and John Russell. As European games approached, however, the 23 year old began to pick up niggling injuries and missed large parts of the remainder of the season.

‘Keeper Clarke re-joins the Saints, after returning last January for his second spell at the club. The Dubliner signed for his boyhood club again from Sligo Rovers where he was an FAI Cup winner in 2011, but was unable to repeat this feat with the St Pats.

The additions of Bolger and Clarke brings the total squad size to 16 so far.

St Pat’s squad so far: Brendan Clarke, Ger O’Brien, Sean Gannon, Kenny Browne, Conor Kenna, Ian Bermingham, Jake Carroll, John Russell, Greg Bolger, Shane McFaul, Killian Brennan, Chris Forrester, Conan Byrne, Anto Flood, Christy Fagan and Jake Kelly.
