League play-off dates confirmed

The dates and venues for the First Division play-off matches have been decided and finalised. 

 

Waterford United, who will finish second in the league, will have home advantage in the second leg, while third placed Longford Town will host the Blues first, at Flancare Park.

 

Tony Cousins will be preparing his side for the first leg of the playoffs already, having known his fate for a fortnight now. That first leg will be played on Saturday, October 20th.

 

Paul O’Brien’s Waterford United fell at the final hurdle and just couldn’t manage to snatch the league title away from Limerick. Their home leg, at the RSC, will be on Friday, October 26th.

 

First Division play-off:



 

First leg: Longford Town v Waterford United – October 20th; Flancare Park.

 

Second leg: Waterford United v Longford Town – October 26th; Regional Sports Centre.
