Sporting Fingal will travel to Jackman Park looking to complete the quadruple over fifth placed Limerick 37 (Kick-off 7:45pm). It will be a tough task for Liam Buckley’s side who have already beaten Limerick in the two sides previous three games this season but Mike Kerley’s side young side have greatly improved since the last outing in Morton Stadium.

Limerick, who are the form team in the First Division, will be looking for a third win in a row while Sporting Fingal will feel the pressure as they look to keep their title hopes alive. With Dundalk losing at home to Longford on Thursday night, Liam Buckley knows his side have a great chance of pushing the top three to the final few games of the season, if they pick up a positive result on Friday night against Limerick

Limerick manager Mike Kerley realises that all the pressure is on the visitors as they need a win to keep up with the chasing pack especially following disappointing results against Wexford and Longford at home.

Speaking about Friday’s clash he said “Sporting Fingal will come down feeling they have to get three points in order to stay in the promotion race. They cannot afford to draw the game with just eight matches remaining, but the promotion spot is very much up for grabs still.”

“Any one of the four sides can claim it. It will come down to which side manages to handle the pressure best. Sporting Fingal have players who have played in and won medals in the Premier Division. But I think we have the ability to create chances against them.”

Meanwhile, Liam Buckley is looking forward to the remaining of the season and the challenge it will bring. “We need to pick up a couple of wins to push back into the title race,” he said. “We have four matches coming up in the space of 13 days and they are sure to have a big bearing on how the campaign finishes up for us.

“Limerick 37 play decent football and have given us three decent matches this season, although we managed to win each of the meetings.”

Limerick 37 Team News: Mike Kerley has a nearly full squad to choose from with Brendan Daly returning to the squad after his absence in Limerick’s 2-0 win a Station Road last Sunday. Limerick’s only selection worry is Stephen Goggin who in unavailable for Friday’s clash due to a one match ban he received for picking up four yellow cards so far this season.

Sporting Fingal Team News: Sporting Fingal will have to travel to Jackman Park without the service of the league’s top marksman Robbie Doyle. He misses Friday’s important clash with Limerick 37 at Jackman Park on Friday night (7.45pm).The striker is suffering with a calf problem and is targeting a return to duty for next Tuesday’s game away to Athlone Town. Fingal Manager Liam Buckley has an otherwise fully fit squad to select from and is keen to get on back on track following disappointing results in their last two games against Wexford Youths and Longford Town at home.

Extratime Prediction: Limerick face their bogey team on Friday night so it may be a battle of the players’ minds as Limerick look to get a positive result against Sporting Fingal for the first time. A score draw is the most likely result as the pressure may be too much for both sides for very different reasons. Prediction: 2-2.
