Limerick 37 release another four players

Limerick 37 manager Mike Kerley has today released four players from his squad, most notably former Cork City, Cobh Ramblers and Waterford United striker Willie Bruton.

Those who join Bruton on the way out are youngsters Jonathon Grant, Darren Harrington and Rory Carroll. Limerick have recently signed 18 new players in the past month and this influx of new players has obviously taken a toll on Mike Kerley’s small budget and he has been forced to show the door to some of his first-team squad in previous weeks including Padraig Fogerty and Ross Cosgrove.

Willie Bruton had played an important part in Mike Kerley’s side up until the mid-season break scoring two important goals with the Shannonsiders. However, in recent weeks the in-form Gary Sheehan has replaced Bruton and with John Tierney signing on-loan from Cork City Willie Bruton began to fall down the pecking order at Limerick FC. Jonathon Grant and Darren Harrington have both joined local junior club Fairview Rangers as they look to challenge for the FAI Junior Club with a host of ex-Limerick FC players in their squad.
