Premier Team of the Week #6

The past week could prove to be a pivotal one for the reigning champions. A win over rivals Bohemians on Friday night couple with disappointing results for title challengers Sligo and St Pats means Shamrock Rovers are now joint top of the Premier Division table with a game in hand over Sligo and Derry. And Rovers positive performance has been awarded with four players in this week’s TOTW.

Outside of this, it’s very much a mixed bag with six other clubs represented. Dundalk top the bill with two while Drogheda, Bohemians, UCD and Derry all have one each. Barry Murphy replaces Peter Cherrie between the posts to become TOTW’s fourth goalkeeper to date.

Eamon Zayed added to his already impressive goal tally with two more against Galway on Friday night, while Lee Lynch put another commanding performance for an ever-improving Drogheda United.

Sean Harding is the second UCD player to appear in the TOTW this season.
