Shelley and Gray behind wind up order

The two Bohemians players at the centre of a winding up order issued against the club, have been named as Brian Shelley and Stephen Gray.

It is believed Shelley and Gray are owed a little short of €10,000 combined, but Bohs are claiming they are preparing a collective deal for all players.

The case, which could threaten the club's 121 years of existence, is not expected to be heard for at least two weeks.

Gray played just four times for Pat Fenlon's men this season due to an Achilles injury, while fellow defender Shelley was at the heart of The Gypsies defence as they finished runners-up on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Shelley, who was reported to have signed for Australian side Ballarart Red Devils has now rubbished those reports.

A statement issued by his solicitor, Stuart Gilhooly, read:

"Contrary to media reports today, Brian has not agreed any deal to sign for Ballarat Red Devils. Furthermore, he has not spoken to any media, Australian or otherwise, about this club and the quotes attributed to him are entirely false.

"He remains contracted to Bohemians Football Club and will remain at the club until his contract expires or until the club makes such offer of settlement of his contract that is acceptable to him. As things stand, this has not happened and he therefore remains a Bohemians player.

"In common with nearly all other Bohemians players, he has not been paid on foot of his contract in nearly seven weeks. As a result and without prejudice to the terms of his contract, Bohemians have given permission for him to speak to other clubs and indeed he is currently in Norway with the PFAI team."
