Bohs make Revenue payment

There was some good news for Bohemians fans on Monday evening as the club announced they have made a payment to the Revenue Commissioners to settle the amount due in October.

A statement on the club website indicated that “donations from members and fans and the fundraising efforts of all connected with the club have made this possible.”

A fundraising innovative by supporters which was organised last Saturday night is believed to have raised over €20,000 for the cash-strapped club.

Former Bohs manager, turned TV pundit, Roddy Collins even auctioned off his league winners medal to help the cause – the medal was sold for the hefty sum of €2,600 to some lucky Gypsy.

However Pat Fenlon's men aren't out of the woods yet, and a lot more fundraising efforts will be needed if they are to gain a license for the coming 2011 Airtricity League season.
