Fenlon content to stay at Bohs

Bohemians boss Pat Fenlon insists he has “no desire” to leave the Dublin club – despite the loss of his backroom staff and several key players.

Fenlon has confirmed that the contracts of; Conor Powell, Killian Brennan, Jason Byrne, Mark Quigley, Mark Rossiter and Jason McGuinness have all expired, and they are all set to leave the club.

The 41-year-old, who has been linked with jobs across the water for some time now, has admitted that although his future is still somewhat uncertain, he isn't prepared to walk out on the cash-strapped club.

“I don't know too much at the moment. I sat down with some of the board last week but there wasn't really much to talk about, because in fairness to them they don't really know where they are at the moment.

“There are six or seven players out of contract at the moment and we can't offer them anything but I’d like to keep one or two of them obviously," he told Extratime after Friday's 3-1 win over Dundalk.

“We have about 12 players under contract for next season so we'll just have to see where the land lies.

“I have no desire to leave the club. As long as the club don't want to dispense of me, then I presume I will be here, said Fenlon, who has delivered five trophies during his time in Phibsboro.
