Giovanni Trapattoni has been dealt yet another blow ahead of Friday's Euro 2012 qualifier with Armenia with the news that defender Paul McShane has withdrawn from the squad due to a hamstring injury.

The 24-year-old Hull City player has returned to the club for treatment and is hopeful he may return for the home game against Andorra next Tuesday.

Mcshane joins Keith Andrews, Damien Duff and Keith Treacy on the injury list, leaving boss Trapattoni with serious selection problems for the trip to Yerevan.

Ipswich Town defender Darren O'Dea is also a doubt for Friday's game after undergoing a scan this afternoon on a troublesome knee injury.
