LSL Senior Sunday round-up: Bluebell United secure late victory as Crumlin United and Killester Donnycarney also win

Bluebell United needed a late goal from club stalwart Robert Bayly to see off Bangor Celtic in their thrilling five-goal encounter at Capco Park.

Former League of Ireland midfielder Bayly struck at the death to secure another pivotal win for Mick McLoughlin’s side as they continue to move up the table.

Bayly recently joined the Bell’s coaching ticket alongside William Nicholson but is registered as a player - and his experience counted in a thriller.

Prior to his goal, both teams traded goals between Dragos Mamaliga, Anthony McKay, Troy Stedman and Ryan Carberry to make it 2-2.

But Bayly had the final say to catapult Bluebell up to fifth place.

Meanwhile, Crumlin United came from behind to see off Liffey Wanderers 2-1.

Lasha Baramidze gave Liffeys a 1-0 lead.

But goals from Callum Bridgeman and Eoin McPhillips handed James Lee’s side an important victory.

Crumlin are now eighth in the table while Wanderers remain in 13th.

Elsewhere, Killester Donnycarney claimed the bragging rights in their North Dublin derby with Home Farm.

The Hadden Park side recorded a 2-0 success over Home Farm with Robert Dunne and Jack Power on the scoresheet.

Home Farm remain rooted to the foot of the table but will be keen to improve ahead of the second half of the season.

Killester Donnycarney are now seventh following their victory.
