UCD host Galway United in The UCD Bowl tonight (kick off 7.45pm) knowing a victory could move the Students to second place depending on other results.

UCD go into tonight’s game after an impressive away performance against Shamrock Rovers on Friday night. The Students played some excellent football earning a point and will be looking to continue their good form into tonight’s game. Paul Corry remains out injured for the Students but otherwise Martin Russell has a full squad to choose from.

Galway United travel to Belfield having had their home game on Friday postponed, falling victim to the weather. Galway have injury concerns over Jason Molloy, Stephen O'Donnell, Bobby Ryan and Jamie McKenzie and all four will have fitness tests ahead of the game. Stephen O'Donnell failed a fitness test on Friday but maybe in contention tonight. O'Donnell suffered a knee injury in a heavy tackle against Shamrock Rovers the previous week and it ruled him out of the game against Dundalk last Friday. Striker Alan Murphy remains out with a long-term injury.

The Students have shown that they are more than capable of holding their own in the Premier division with wins against Drogheda United and Bray Wanderers. Galway on the other hand have so far struggled, with only one win in four games, so the Tribesmen will be looking for a good result at the Bowl tonight.
