Following the loan successes of Kyle Robinson and Jack Moylan last season, Ian Ryan has sampled the loan market once more with the capture of centre-back Adam Wells from Shamrock Rovers until the summer.

The 18 year-old central defender, who had spells with Esker Celtic and Crumlin United before joining the Shamrock Rovers Academy, has been capped at underage level with the Republic of Ireland.

He was a regular in Aidan Price’s Shamrock Rovers II squad in 2020 - making 15 starts. The following season saw him combine duties for Rovers Under 19s and their senior squad, collecting a National League title under Price’s stewardship .
