Robbie’s Biography

Robbie was a goalkeeper who started his career at Shamrock Rovers in 1986. He made his debut for the Hoops in the final league game of 1986/87, a 3-1 win over Home Farm at Tolka Park on 14 April '87, his only league appearance for the club.

Two years later he signed for Drogheda United where he helped the club to the 1989 First Division title. After four years at United Park he joined Shelbourne in November 1992.

Two years with the Reds were followed by a return to Shamrock Rovers in 1994 where Robbie spent eight years. In 2003 he joined Dublin City before signing for Monaghan United in 2004. In 2007 Robbie joined St Patrick's Athletic and although he remained with Pats in 2008, he made his last league appearance on the final night of the 2007 season.

Robbie went on to have a successful career as a goalkeeping coach and was an integral member of Mick Cooke's coaching staff at Drogheda United.
