FULL TIME!

Full-time. Slán go fóill.

90'
There will be four minutes injury time to be played. Not going to matter, though.

85'
It's petering out a bit now. To be honest, I'm disappointed with both sides. Salthill have been beyond awful, while Cork should really be punishing them in front of goal. Some of their finishing has been astonishingly sloppy.

82'

Substitution

Cork Sub - the sixth and final substitution of the night as Vincent Escudé-Candau is on for the goalscorer, Shane Duggan.

76'

Substitution

Cork Sub - Danny Morrissey comes on against the club he made his debut against last year. He replaces Vinny Sullivan.

76'
Davin O'Neill's effort turned around the post for City's 16th corner of the night.

71'

Substitution

Salthill Sub - And Shane Browne can't carry on, he is replaced by Luke McConnell.

71'

Yellow Card

Salthill's Shane Browne has just been booked after hurting himself in a late challenge on Derek O'Brien.

70'

Substitution

Salthill Sub - Gerry Dolan is on for Paul Smyth.

68'
Duggan, of course, scored both City's goals against Finn Harps last week. Meanwhile, Derek O'Brien has his shot cleared away for City's 15th corner of the game.

64'

Substitution

Salthill Sub - And immediately after his booking, Victor Collins is replaced by Niall Brennan.

64'

Yellow Card

Salthill's Victor Collins is yellow carded for his protests after the goal.

63'

GOAL!

EVENTUALLY!!!! Shane Duggan's left-footed shot bobbles and bounces into the right corner. Salthill protest heavily and Victor Collins picks up a yellow card but the goal stands.

62'

Substitution

Cork Sub - Derek O'Brien is coming on for Daryl Horgan - he's not fully fit but perhaps his spark on the wing is what the home team need.

61'
What has struck me is that Daryl Horgan is very like Damien Duff, while Eugene Greaney is very like USA defender Alexi Lalas. Sadly, neither have displayed anything close to what their lookalikes were capable of in their heyday. (Yes, I do think Duff is past his best before you question me!)

59'
Still scoreless. If it was a corner count though, it would be 13-0 to the home team. Just a pity for the home support that there hasn't been a player in green to finish one.

46'

Second Half

And we're off again. We have to see some goals, surely?

45'
Perhaps Tommy Dunne will tell his players that Shelbourne are losing to Waterford United - that should be enough motivation to finally break the deadlock.

45'

Half Time

Half-time. Surprisingly, it's scoreless. Actually, I'm a little shocked.

44'
Salthill's first real chance as Ronan Conlon drills over.

43'
Greg O'Halloran heads wide from City's EIGHTH corner of the half - that's averaging on one every five or so minutes. Looks like it'll be scoreless at the break.

35'
Ten minutes to the break and it is still scoreless. It's been a strange game so far. City have been so dominant but will need to score soon before it becomes a bit nervy. This is, afterall, a Salthill side that have conceded 13 times in three games.

28'
Daryl Horgan's shot is deflected wide against his old club.

25'
And the same player heads Danny Murphy's cross wide two minutes later. That's ten chances, only three on target and we're still scoreless.

23'
Chance number nine goes abegging, Vinny Sullivan striking just over from O'Neill's cross.

21'
Cummins drills over from an O'Neill pass after he dispossessed Colm Horgan (who is one of three with that surname currently on the field, alongside City's Neal and Daryl, who are combining on the right).

18'
Duggan hits wide again. That was the home side's sixth chance, four have been off-target.

12'
O'Neill nods wide in another early chance for City. A goal must be on the horizon, surely?

10'
All City here as Forde's broken finger comes to the rescue when palming away O'Neill's strike. Duggan is on hand to scramble to rebound wide, though.

5'
Salthill have lined up with just Victor Collins up front. He'll be chasing a lost cause for the entire night, I feel.

1'
Davin O'Neill hits the posts just a minute in after waltzing through the defence. Sloppy finish, but City end up with a corner which Gearoid Morrissey takes and Vinny Sullivan's effort deflects out for another corner. Big start from the home side.

1'

GAME ON!

And we're off, the home team centre, playing from right to left.

0'
Daryl Horgan is making his debut for City tonight - the third time he will have played in Turner's Cross, but first for the home team. He won the U16 National Cup here three years ago and was in the Salthill side that won here at the tail end of last season.

0'
Salthill 'keeper Ronan Forde has a broken finger and did not warm-up. That all point towards an easy win for Cork here, but you'd never know really. Five to go until kick-off.

0'
Hola! Alan Smith here at Turner's Cross where a depleted Cork City will be hoping to get the better of bottom of the table Salthill Devon to keep their promotion challenge alive. Line-ups once I have 'em.
