’s Biography
Ricardo Ferreira da Silva, known simply as Ricardinho, is a left back who was born in Curitiba, Brazil and plays for Swedish Allsvenskan side Malmö FF.
As a youth Ricardinho joined his home town team of Coritiba FC and graduated to the senior side in 2003. He spent six years with the club during which time he made over 150 appearances. In 2007 he had a brief loan spell at top tier side Atletico Maneiro but when he left Coritiba in 2009 it was to come to Europe.
On signing for Malmö FF at the start of the 2009 season Ricardinho became an immediate first choice at left back and has missed just eleven league games in his four years at the club. He won a Swedish league title with the club in 2010 and appeared in ten of the club’s 12 European games in 2011.
