Live Updates for Cork City -v- Bray Wanderers

90' + 4'

FULL TIME!

The game has ended between Cork City and Bray Wanderers.

90'

Four minutes to be added here. Can Bray avoid further misery?

88'

Bray keep on going but look a dispondent side now. Dylan Hayes tries an effort but it floats just over the bar

84'

Gary Buckley announced as Man of the Match.

82'

Substitution

Shane Flynn replaces Daniel Kelly for Bray Wanderers.

80'

Shane Griffin delightfully back-heels to Kieran Sadlier. He plays in Conor McCormack who shoots just wide.

79'

Not been a great night for the Bray defense. Yet another disappointing away trip for the bottom club.

78'

Substitution

Darragh Gibbons replaces Conor Kenna for Bray Wanderers.

75'

Straight away Sheppard is at it again. An decisive run down the right sees an expertly crossed ball to Buckley. He makes no mistake from the header.

75'

Substitution

Aaron Barry replaces Sean McLoughlin for Cork City.

75'

GOAL!

Garry Buckley scores for Cork City.

74'

Cross fizzes into the area but Sheppard cannot get to it.

73'

Yellow Card

Daniel Kelly is booked for Bray Wanderers.

68'

Substitution

Ger Pender replaces Gary McCabe for Bray Wanderers.

64'

Double change as Caulfield freshens up his options. Perhaps with an eye on upcoming games. Cummins has his goal as his last moment and the forward line is switched.

64'

Substitution

Karl Sheppard replaces Barry McNamee for Cork City.

64'

Substitution

Josh O'Hanlon replaces Graham Cummins for Cork City.

63'

A series of attacks down the left had been twarted. Eventually a cross comes in which is parried away by Moran. Cummins has the simple task of tapping home. Game over

63'

GOAL!

Graham Cummins scores for Cork City.

58'

A run and cross attempts to find Paul O' Connor in between two defenders. It just misses him. The game is getting quite stretched now.

57'

Ball played in just evades the on-rushing McNamee

56'

Attendence tonight is 4070.

55'

Ball floated into the City area. Too high and no-one in sight. Simple take for McNulty.

50'

Shane Griffin does well to get up from a tackle. He plays a one-two with Sadlier before finding Colm Horgan. His shot is blocked but comes to Keohane. His effort whistles just wide

48'

Almost a disaster for Bray! Gary McCabe sweeps a pass back to Moran who was outside his area. It is intercepted by Sadlier who rounds him but puts his shot over. Not the assist McCabe would have wanted.

46'

Second Half

The second half between Cork City and Bray Wanderers has started.

45' + 1'

Can that second goal before half-time be the one that sees Cork become more confident and add another few in the second-half? Bray must be gutted at the concession of a soft enough goal just before the break. Their chances were somewhat limited but as long as it remained one nil, the game was in the balance.

45' + 1'

Half Time

It is half-time between Cork City and Bray Wanderers.

44'

Sadlier is found in room as Cork aim to hammer home their advantage. He takes too long on his shot and is eventually cleared.

43'

A Barry McNamee corner causes panic in the Bray penalty area. Garry Buckley heads it back in, Graham Cummins flicks it on and Sean McLoughlin sweeps it home. The home side breaths a bit easier.

43'

GOAL!

Sean McLoughlin scores for Cork City.

40'

Free-kick from the right. Floated in to the area. Dylan Hayes fails to get enough power on his header. He claims he was obstructed but he referee ignores him.

38'

On two occasions, Cork try and replicate the style of the opener. The passing is not crisp enough and Bray clear comfortably

35'

Game gone very quiet. The expected goal-rush, after the early effort, has not materialised. Bray are digging in and frustrating the home-side.

30'

Sadlier takes a corner form the left. He finds Sean McLoughlin but his header is just off target

29'

Ball played into the Bray area. Conor Kenna chests it down but only finds Jimmy Keohane. His shot is eventually blocked

25'

Free-kick by Gary McCabe who forces McNulty down for a save.

23'

A series of crosses cause more problems for McNulty. He is forced to punch away. The ball finds Dylan Hayes but his header is cleared. The clearance finds Gary Buckley whos through-ball to Cummins is over-hit. Moran gathers

20'

Kevin Lynch crosses it in but far too high and caught easily by McNulty

17'

Sadlier is played in but takes his eye off the ball and Dylan Hayes intercepts him

15'

McNamee takes a shot when found in space at the edge of the area. It is always rising and poses no threat

13'

First sight of Bray as Daniel Kelly is played in on the left. Shane Griffin is equal to him and puts him off.

12'

Gary Buckley and Graham Cummins get in each other's way but still manage to play McNamee in on the right side. His shot lacks the power to beat Moran however.

9'

Shane Griffin and Kieran Sadlier link up superbly before the latter beats his man and goes for goal. Evan Moran is equal to it though

4'

Almost two! Keohane gets the ball down the Bray left and his fizzing cross is just missed by the City attackers

3'

Sadlier and Cummins combine well before McNamee plays into Keohane striding through to open the scoring.

3'

GOAL!

Jimmy Keohane

GAME ON!

The game between Cork City and Bray Wanderers has kicked off.

0'

It could be a massive night for Cork's substitute goalkeeper. Adam Cantwell, is the under-17 net-minder, and he replaces Peter Cherrie as understudy to Mark McNulty tonight. He sat on the bench for the President's Cup match due to McNulty missing the game. Big occasion for him tonight

Looks to be a healthy crowd gathering so far

0'
It looks like Gearoid Morrissey has failed to recover in time so misses out. Gary Buckley replaces him. Derby winner, Josh O' Hanlon, has to be content with a place on the bench. Otherwise, its as you expect it. Bray keep the same team which stunned Waterford. Gary McCabe will again be to the forefront of their attack

0'
Good evening and welcome to a bright and sunny Turners Cross. This is what summer soccer was made for. Philip Morrissey here providing all the details from tonights encounter. A few weeks ago, Bray looked like they were cut adrift at the bottom and destined to make the drop. Recent weeks have seen them beat Shamrock Rovers, Derry and draw with Waterford last time out. When you add the draw with Dundalk on the opening night, they are not a team to dismiss. Cork City know that such games have been their undoing in previous campaigns. A win is essential to maintain their challenge at the top
