Jake came through the underage ranks at Swindon Town and was included in the Swindon squad that traveled to Ireland for pre-season in July 2016. He made 2 league appearances in the 2016/17 season before signing for Pat Fenlon at Waterford FC on 22 February 2017.
Jake made his Waterford debut on the opening night of the 2017 First Division season against Athlone Town and made 3 league appearances before leaving the club in May of that year.
