Lee played for Bray Wanderers U19 side in 2011 but joined St Patrick's Athletic under manager Liam Buckley in 2012. He first appeared for the senior side when he made the bench as an unused substitute against Monaghan United on 9 March 2012.
In the summer of 2012 Lee made the switch to Shelbourne to play for their U19 squad in 2012/13. His contract with Shelbourne was not renewed for the 2013/2014 season.
