Philip previously played for Kildare County and spent a couple of years with Drumcondra in the Leinster Senior League before signing for Drogheda United in February 2011.
He made his debut for Drogheda in a 2-0 defeat to Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds on 25 March 2011 and he made 2 league appearances before leaving the club in the summer of that year.
Philly then played for Drumcondra FC during the 2015/16 season.
