Live Updates for Dundalk -v- Bohemians

93'
A pretty pleased crowd here at Oriel Park as they applaud their players off the pitch. Bohemians played well and are certainly a side improving. Dundalk managed to stand up to the challenge and get back to winning ways. Will there be a few twists and turns in this title race yet? Of course there will! If you want to read more about tonight's action, Niall Newburry is crossing his Ts and dotting his Is beside me, it should be online imminently. From me, goodnight.

90' + 3'

FULL TIME!

The game has ended between Dundalk and Bohemians.

90' + 2'

Corner Kick

Bohemians have won a corner kick. Lorcan Fitzgerald will take it. The second corner in quick succession results with the ball in the Dundalk net but it's not going to stand.

90'

Corner Kick

Bohemians has won a corner kick. Lorcan Fitzgerald will take it.

90'

Substitution

Ismahil Akinade replaces Ismahil Akinade for Bohemians.

90'
Paddy Kavanagh trips a breaking Chris Shields. Dundalk have a free kick just to the offensive side of the halfway line.

89'
Fitzgerald takes a free fifty yards or so out - it was awarded for a Gartland shove on Simon - but it amounts to nothing. The fourth official has indicated there will be 3 additional minutes.

88'
A great solo diagonal run from Massey into nose-bleed territory but he's composed and plays a crisp pass on the deck out towards Michael Duffy on the left. Duffy couldn't quite pick it up though and it's out for a goal kick.

87'
A poorly cleared bal finds its way to former Lilywhite, Keith Ward, who watches his shot whistle wide.

86'

Substitution

Thomas Stewart replaces Patrick McEleney for Dundalk.

83'

Substitution

Keith Ward replaces Fuad Sule for Bohemians.

77'

Yellow Card

Ian Morris is booked for Bohemians.

77'

Corner Kick

Bohemians has won a corner kick. Lorcan Fitzgerald will take it.

75'
Ian Morris takes one of his long throws well down on the right flank. It's into the box but headed clear.

73'

Substitution

Conor Clifford replaces Stephen O'Donnell for Dundalk. The skipper gets a standing ovation for his vocal marshalling of the players tonight.

71'
McMillian is prevented from connecting with a ball into the box by a very blatant pull. You can guess the cry that went up. He may have had a case for a penalty alright. Bohs under a lot of pressure at the moment.

70'

Yellow Card

Fuad Sule is booked for Bohemians. One too many niggles on Patrick McEleney for the referee's liking.

68'

Substitution

Dean Casey replaces Jamie Doyle for Bohemians.

68'
Ian Morris trips McEleney right in front of the referee but escapes with a talking too. Bohs are skating the edge of the law a little.

66'

GOAL!

Michael Duffy scores for Dundalk. A laser guided effort right into the bottom right of the net. Supple saw it but couldn't do a whole lot about it.

65'

Substitution

Steven Kinsella replaces Jamie McGrath for Dundalk.

63'
McEleney is giving the referee an earful about the attention he has been getting all evening. Meanwhile Bohs break and Jamie Doyle, who looked offside, gets the ball. Massey recoveres well, wins the ball and then Doyle pushes him over. Silly.

61'
Dundalk have gone off the boil a bit here. I'm sure Bohs might have an inkling they can get something from this yet if they play their cards right.

60'
Gary Rogers gatheres the ball and tries to play it long, the ball runs into touch in in the Bohs' half.

57'
McMillian is down in the box with a head injury but looks okay to resume. Supple punched a ball clear and took McMillian out of the equation in the process. It will be a hop ball to resume play with Duffy punting the ball and posession back to the visitors.

55'
'I've seen them given' would be the go-to cliche had Sean Hoare been awarded a penalty for the attentions he was given as he cascaded into the box. The Oriel crowd are up in arms as the referee awards a goal kick as Hoare dusts himself off and gets back to his feet.

52'
Simon gets away on the left for Bohs but is stood up by Vemmelund. Jamie Doyle is the outlet and he gets in a cross which Rogers smotheres.

49'

Yellow Card

Stephen O'Donnell is booked for Dundalk after a tangle with Oscar Brennan. I think it might have been for protesting, at first glance the free looked like it could have gone the other way.

47'
O'Donnell thumps a Michael Duffy cross goalwards and brings another very good save out of Shane Supple.

46'

Second Half

The second half between Dundalk and Bohemians has started.

45'
Bohs are the first team back onto the pitch, Dundalk follow them out. We're nearly ready to rock and roll again.

45'

Half Time

It is half-time between Dundalk and Bohemians.

45'
Ian Morris' long throws have been bothersome for the champions. Bohs have had two opportunities to deploy that asset in the first half to ping it into the box.

45'
A looooooong ball over the top has Simon and Vemmelund racing to win it. The Dundalk defender manages to nose it.

44'
Michael Duffy cuts in from the right and tries to bend one past Supple with the outside of his right foot. It's saved at a stretch.

43'
Shields might want to have a think about his footwear, he's slipped like a dog on ice a few times tonight.

40'
It could have been two. A dainty flick from McEleney in the six yard box had Supple wrongfooted for a split second, but he recovered to gather on the line.

39'

Corner Kick

Bohemians has won a corner kick. Lorcan Fitzgerald will take it. A poor corner but it was hit with such ferocity that it pinged dangerously off the first defender before it was cleared.

38'

Our reporter Stephen Walsh is going to abseil off the top of Croke Park on Saturday week in aid of the ISPCC but we need your support to raise as much funds as possible - if you get the time - any donation no matter how small is huge to us - you can donate here - https://give.everydayhero.com/ie/croke-park-abseil-for-ispcc-3

37'
McEleney crosses from the right and Stewart pushes his header wide of the target. A tricky effort to convert but he'll be disappointed he didn't find the target.

36'
The visitors are having a bit of a spell here. Ian Morris stabs at a stray ball some way out but it's well over.

34'
Jamie Doyle found himself in shooting territory after Bohs make surprisingly easy ground through the middle. Gartland was paying him close attention, but he fired away forcing a save out of Gary Rogers.

33'

Corner Kick

Dundalk has won a corner kick. Dane Massey will take it. Massey's first corner found a man, it was deflected out for another corner. The result of the second corner is a free out.

32'

Corner Kick

Dundalk has won a corner kick. Dane Massey will take it.

31'
Vemmelund did well to pick out McMillian on the right. He veers into the box and it takes a last ditch tackle to prevent him pulling the trigger. IT's out for a corner.

28'

Corner Kick

Bohemians has won a corner kick. Lorcan Fitzgerald will take it. The delivery nearly bounced in the box - a cardinal sin of defending - but Massey stooped low to head it clear.

25'
Great piece of skill from Kaleem Simon bamboozles Vemmelund. Simon spins away and makes ground down the right, unfortunately there isn't a lot of support for him. In the next move, Dundalk go close through McEleney who tries a cheeky chip shot on Supple but the 'keeper is positioned well and stretches to gather it.

20'
A great run from McMillan gets McEleney away and his cross is tantalising but slightly behind the onrushing players. Massey gets on the ball and stings the hands of Supple who can't gather it on the first attempt - Duffy swings a leg at it but it's cleared by Fitzgerald.

17'

Corner Kick

Jamie Doyle got on the end of Bohs' first corner and headed it back into the danger zone. It looked menacing but the home side manages to clear.

16'
Am I allowed to talk about penalties? Michael Duffy beat the offside trap and was clean in on goal but a tactical, at teh very least a semi-professional nudge, threw him off enough to prevent him getting a shot a way that would have made it 2-0 surely. Had he have went down, Paul McLaughlin would have had a big decision to make.

14'

Corner Kick

Dundalk has won a corner kick. Dane Massey will take it. Gartland connects but it's over the bar.

14'
Paddy Kavanagh gets the ball caught under his feet when he really should clear it. The ball goes out for a throw to Dundalk. Then the ball treakles out for the game's first corner.

9'

GOAL!

David McMillan scores for Dundalk. And then out of nothing a well worked goal materialises! McEleney picked out Duffy on the right who skipped goalwards opening up the defence, McEleney burst a gut to get on the overlap and he picked out a lovely cross for David McMillain to poke a diving header at. One-nil.

6'
The Gypsies in your face approach has prevented Dundalk getting a foothold in their own patch so far. Dundalk take another free in their own half but it ends up in Shane Supple's hands moments later. Nothing clear cut for either side yet.

5'
A free out for Dundalk as Jamie Doyle bundles into Dane Massey in the air. It's been scrappy so far.

2'

Yellow Card

Cornwall is booked for a foul on Patrick McEleny. As I typed that, Fuad Sule was lucky to escape a card for a bundled tackle on Stephen O'Donnell.

1'

GAME ON!

The game between Dundalk and Bohemians has kicked off.

0'
A relatively unchanged team for Dundalk from their last league game. Captain Stephen O'Donnell is prefered in the middle over Conor Clifford. Perhaps this is an indication of Stephen Kenny's faith in his squad. Some media outlets have suggested that the Champions are lagging a little this season. Other sources imply that there is a lot of gelling to happen for this Dundalk side to click. In the latter case, Dundalk fans will be hoping that happens soon. Cork's lead is stretching at the top of the table.

0'
We are less than ten minutes away from KO here. It will be interesting to see how Dundalk respond to a disappointing week (by their very high standards). Bohs were excellent against Cork last week too despite not garnishing any points for their efforts.
