David’s Biography

David is a defender who began his career with Preston North End in 2002. He was with the Lancashire club for four years but had to go on loan to Scarborough to make his league debut and he made 12 league appearances. In January 2006 he signed for Scottish club Hamilton academical and he made 135 league appearances for them before being released in the summer of 2011.

On 12 April 2012 David joined Icelandic side Fylkir. He spent one season in Iceland, scoring once in 16 league appearances, and in February 2013 he returned to Ireland where he joined Shamrock Rovers ahead of the 2013 season. He made just 7 league appearances for Rovers as they finished fifth in the Premier Division but he also won EA Sports Cup and Setanta Cup winners medals. David was released by Rovers in October 2013 and signed for Roddy Collins at Derry City in February 2014. His league debut for Derry came as a substitute against Sligo Rovers on 4 April 2014 but David made just 3 league appearances for the Candystripes and left the club at the end of July 2014.

In January 2015 David signed for Danske Bank Premiership side Glenavon.
