LIMERICK

Second placed Limerick welcome fourth placed Athlone town to Jackman Park on Friday evening.

Pat Scully’s side have won their last three games and will be hoping to keep this run going in order to keep up with league leaders Longford Town. Limerick were lucky to overcome Athlone in their first meeting of the season when a Joe Gamble goal was enough to give them all three points.

Scully has no new injury concerns but Cian Collins is expected to be out for another four weeks and Dominic Foley will be out for at least another week.

ATHLONE

After eleven rounds of league games Athlone are only five points behind Limerick in the First Division  table. A win for Mike Kerley’s win would make it three wins in a row for Athlone.

Their most recent win was a 2-1 victory over Mervue United when first half goals from Tommy Barrett and Stephen Relihan were answered by a late James Casserly strike for Mervue.

There are no suspension worries for the Athlone manager and he is faced with no fresh injury worries, though long term absentees Roy King, Paul Danaher and Joe Woods are still out.

Referee: Keith Callanan.
