Paddy’s Biography
Paddy spent eight years with the Derry City but, despite being a firm favourite with the fans, he failed to hold down a regular place under new manager Stephen Kenny and he went on loan to Institute during the 2005 season. In January 2006 he made this move permanent when he signed for the Drumahoe club.
In July 2007, McLaughlin signed a short term contract with Finn Harps, keeping him with the Ballybofey club until the end of the 2007 season.
Paddy signed for Coleraine in 2008 and spent the next three years there. In January 2011, at the age of thirty two, Paddy rejoined Finn Harps where he made 16 league appearances before signing once again for Institute in August 2011.
