William’s Biography
William is a central defender who played with Carrick Rangers and Ards before signing for Linfield in September 1997. He made his debut for the Blues in a 1-0 defeat to Cliftonville at Windsor Park on 20 September 1997 and made his 500th appearance for the club against Glenavon on 31 January 2009.
William signed a one year extension to his contract with Linfield in May 2012 having made a total of 595 appearances for the club. He retired at the end of the 2013 season.
