Erik’s Biography
Erik was born in Lindome, Sweden and is a midfielder with Swedish Allsvenskan side Malmö FF.
He began his career with Västra Frölunda IF in the fourth tier of Swedish football but was signed by top flight side BK Häcken at the start of the 2007 season. He made 14 league appearances in his debut year for Häcken and also got his first taste of European football with three outings in the club’s UEFA Cup campaign.
Erik made a total of 102 appearances in his four seasons with BK Häcken but moved on in 2011 when he joined MLS side Seattle Sounders. He made his US debut against LA Galaxy and played 34 times for the Americans.
In 2012 Erik returned to Sweden where he signed a three year deal with Malmö FF. He made 24 league appearances in his first year at the Malmö Stadion.
Erik made his international debut for Sweden against Bahrain has won two caps for his country.
