Christian’s Biography
Christian is a Swedish midfielder who plays for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
He started his career with Mjalby AIF in the Swedish second division in 1997 and spent three years with the club before joining Nowegian side Stabaek. During three seasons in Norway Christian scored 25 goals in 84 league appearances, signing for Belgian side Anderlecht in the summer of 2003.
Another three seasons followed in Belgium before Christian signed for French side Nantes in 2006 but in January 2007 he went on loan to Italian side Roma. Another loan spell followed at Bolton Wanderers at the start of the 2007/08 season but he returned to France before being loaned out yet again, this time to Deportivo La Coruna in Spain who he joined in January 2008.
In 2008 Christian signed for Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, going on a season long loan to Al Ahli of Quatar for 2011/12.
Christian gained his first Swedish cap in 2001 and has represented his country at two European Championships (2004, 2008) as well as at the 2006 World Cup Finals.
