Philip played in West Bromich Albion's academy before being released in May 2015. He went on trial with St Patrick's Athletic and appeared in a friendly against a Manchester City XI in July of that year. However, in August 2015, he signed for Premier Division club Longford Town and finished the 2015 season with eight league appearances for the club as they finished sixth. In 2016 Philip played in 32 of Longford's 33 Premier Division games, scoring once in a 3-3 draw away to St Patrick's Athletic. Longford were relegated at the end of the season and Philip signed for Keith Long at Bohemians in December of 2016.
Philip re-signed with Bohs ahead of the 2018 season. Philip left Bohs by mutual consent in July of that year after making 29 appearances during his time at the club.
In December 2018, Philip signed with Bray Wanderers for the 2019 season.
