FULL TIME!

The game has ended between Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk.

90' + 4'

Huge chance, Clarke races away down the left after a great cross-field ball from Byrne. Clarke's cross is met by Greene but he knows nothing about it and the ball drifts harmlessly wide.

90' + 2'

Backs to the wall here for Dundalk, Rovers pouring forward.

90' + 1'

4 added minutes.

90'

Chance for Brandon Kavanagh as a knockdown from Bolger is blazed over the bar.

89'

Attendance 0f 5,015 here tonight in Tallaght.

88'

As Rovers pour forward, gaps appear at the back McEleney races away after a good pass from Duffy and his 23 yard effort is struck viciouslybut just goes wide.

86'

Substitution

Georgie Kelly replaces Patrick Hoban for Dundalk.

85'

Sensational play from Rovers as neat intricate passing from Byrne and Kavanagh results in Green being played through. However all he can do for it is stretch for it and he diverts it beyond Rogers' post.

84'

Massive chance for Greene as he blazes over a volley from 14 yards out.

83'

McEleney wins the ball back from Kavanagh and sets away Duffy down the left, the winger is tracked all the way by Lopes and the centre-half produces an excellent tackle.

81'

Bolger dallies on it in the middle of midfield as Hoban strips him of possession, the striker opts to shoot straight at Mannus when perhaps playing in Duffy would have been the better option.

79'

Substitution

Robbie Benson replaces John Mountney for Dundalk.

The return of Benson as Mountney makes way.

76'

Substitution

Brandon Kavanagh replaces Dylan Watts for Shamrock Rovers.

76'

Gannon whistles one past the post after finding himself in space 24 yards out from goal. Dundalk in the ascendency now.

73'

GOAL!

Sean Gannon scores for Dundalk.

Gannon scores past the on-rushing Mannus from 8 yards after being played through by McGrath. O'Brien made an effort to block it on the line but couldn't get enough on it to clear. Massive goal in the title race for Dundalk.

72'

Substitution

Aaron Greene replaces Daniel Carr for Shamrock Rovers.

69'

Yellow Card

Chris Shields is booked for Dundalk.

Shields goes into the book after a late foul on Watts.

64'

Substitution

Jamie McGrath replaces Sean Murray for Dundalk.

61'

Yellow Card

Gary Rogers is booked for Dundalk.

Rogers goes into the book after tripping Clarke 24 yards from goal. Clarke pounced on a poor crossfield pass and nipped in front of Gartland. As Clarke raced through one on one, Rogers committed and caught the left full-back. The referee deemed enough Dundalk defenders were getting back to deny Rogers been shown a red card.

58'

Gartland nods behind for a Rovers corner. Byrne delivers well but Grace is slow to react and Dundalk clear. Duffy races onto the clearance but Kavanagh matches him and wins a throw in.

53'

Pandemonium ensues in the Rovers box. The ball eventually finds Hoban who strikes well but it is blocked excellently well by O'Brien.

49'

Finn goes in late on McEleney needlessly, the Derryman writhes in pain but does seem to be fit to continue as he gets up gingerly.

47'

Opening period of pressure from the away side. Shields whips in a far post delivery and O'Brien heads excellently well above Hoban.

46'

Second Half

The second half between Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk has started.

46'

No changes at halftime for either side.

45' + 2'

The home side will be dissapointed not being ahead after dominating proceedings. Byrne and Watts have both went close, Carr as looked dangerous running in behind, whilst Clarke has provided great width down the left-hand-side.

45' + 2'

Cracking first half here in Tallaght, Rovers have been the better of the two sides. Vinny Perth and his backroom staff will probably give the hairdryer treatment as Dundalk still look like they're in Spain. One would expect changes from the visitors at the break as Murray, Mountney and McEleney have struggled to get into the game.

45' + 2'

Half Time

It is half-time between Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk.

45'

1 added minute.

41'

Rovers are well on top here and you feel that they have to capitalise during this period by scoring a goal.

39'

Byrne tries a sublime effort from 27 yards out that cracks off the crossbar. What a strike!

37'

Magnificent defending from Massey as he slides back to clear a goal-bound finish from Finn from 5 yards out. The resulting corner is met well by O'Brien but Carr inadvertently directs it away from goal.

34'

Jack Byrne is picking up balls in decent areas, however he's jus trying to force it too much and has given the ball away now three times in a row.

30'

Rovers have kept the ball really well in this opening half hour. Murray and Shields have been almost non-existent in midfield for the away side.

27'

Rovers play some beautiful football through the middle of midfield through Bolger, Watts and Byrne. O'Brien finds himself down the right in space but his cross is cut out well by Hoare.

25'

Byrne goes into the book for simulation, debatable decision from here, looked to have been clipped by Shields.

25'

Yellow Card

Jack Byrne is booked for Shamrock Rovers.

23'

Massey goes down in the box, but he is jusged to have fouled, free-kick Rovers.

21'

Mountney goes goes in late on Kavanagh, this time in front of the Rovers bench and rightly goes into the book.

21'

Yellow Card

John Mountney is booked for Dundalk.

18'

Gartland needlessly pushes over Carr, free-kick wide right for Rovers. Good delivery from Byrne but Carr just can't manage to get a toe on it.

17'

Carr again finds himself down the right channel but his end product is poor and his cross is way overhit.

13'

Yellow Card

Trevor Clarke is booked for Shamrock Rovers.

13'

A crunching 50/50 challenge right on halfway between Clarke and Mountney has both benches up in anger. Referee Rob Harvey awards a free-kick and a yellow card to Trevor Clarke maybe quite harshly as he seemed to win the ball fairly.

11'

Dundalk magnificently beat the initial press from Rovers, as McEleney finds himself in space taking on the Rovers back four. He slips Hoban in but he fouls Grace in the process.

10'

Corner for Rovers as a cross from Watts deflects out for a corner. The resulting corner is nodded harmlessly over Rogers crossbar.

5'

Firstly Jack Byrne canons a shot of Gannon before finding himself in the box after a pass through from Finn, his turn is slow and his effort drifts wide of Gary Rogers' far post.
