Bohemians manager Pat Fenlon faced the press in Dalymount Park on Tuesday afternoon to discuss to current situation at the club.

After weeks of speculation regarding the future of the north Dublin club, Fenlon announced the signing of no less than nine players ahead of the start of the new season.

Liam Burns, Anto Flood, Ger O’Brien, Aidan Price, Robert Bayly, Christopher Fagan, Daniel Joyce and former Bohs duo Mark Rossiter and Gary Burke will all be wearing the red and black of Bohs this season.

“I’m happy enough with what we’ve got in.” said Fenlon. “This stage last week we hadn’t got a team, we hadn’t got a squad. Hopefully we’ll be able to put a team on the park that will be competitive.”

Despite the large number of new arrivals at the club, Fenlon admits that there may well be more new faces in the coming days. “We’re still talking to a few players at the moment about coming.” said Fenlon.

“But it’s difficult at this stage, not many players left. Obviously other clubs have a few more bob to spend at the moment, but we think we can convince another one or two more to come.” added Fenlon.

When quizzed about his own future at the club, Fenlon admitted that he had considered leaving during the winter break. “I’m not going to say anything different, of course I did. It’s very frustrating because over the two or three year period that we’ve been here, I think we’ve done everything that’s possible to help the club. ”

It was confirmed last week that Bohs had been given a Premier Division licence despite intense speculation which suggested the club may not be awarded a licence.
