Cork City will look to get it right at the second time of asking when they take on Leinster Senior League side Bluebell United in a Third Round FAI Cup replay on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm). Ironically, the game will take place at the Carlisle Grounds, the ground which is home to Bray Wanderers, who took Cork's place in the Premier Division at the start of the season.

The draw that the South Dublin side secured in Turner's Cross on Friday evening came as a surprise to many, and they will fancy their chances of coming away from the Wicklow venue with another positive result.

They will be up against it again tomorrow evening though, as Cork have a number of players with experience at this level, which may make the difference when push comes to shove. However, City boss Tommy Dunne will have to plan for the game without the services of Cathal Lordan, who is sidelined with a knee injury, as well as Slovenian defender Uros Hojan, who broke his ankle in training last week, and faces a number of months on the sideline.

Speaking to corkcityfc.net ahead of the game, Dunne revealed that he was disappointed with how the drawn game went, but is also pleased that his charges have another opportunity to make things right.

“The important thing is that we’re still in the cup. I thought we created enough chances to win the game on Friday night, but we just didn’t finish the chances we created. That, combined with a mistake just before half time, let them back into the game. We know it will be a tough game, as Bluebell are a good side, but we believe we’re good enough to go to Bray and win”, remarked Dunne.

Bluebell have consistently been one of the better sides at junior level in Leinster, and they will no doubt be eager to show that their draw in Cork wasn't just a flash in the pan. With a capable striker like Darren Meade at their disposal, they may well make life difficult once again for The Rebel Army.

Having said that though, there is still a good deal of quality in this Cork side, and with the likes of Graham Cummins, Dave Rogers, Stephen Mulcahy and Dave Warren expected to play key roles once again, they should be able to see off Bluebell in the end.
