All-Island Cup Final to be broadcast live on TG4 in August

The League of Ireland have announced that this year’s Women’s All-Island Cup final will be broadcast live on TG4.

The announcement was made at a launch event for this season’s edition of the competition which begins on Saturday – at which Avenir Sports were also confirmed as the title sponsors for the second year running.

“We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with the FAI by sponsoring the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup once again,” Avenir Sports owner Tommy Conneely said at the launch event today.

"Avenir Sports is committed to helping coaches and players to enhance their skills, working closely with teams at all levels—from grassroots to the senior men’s and women’s national teams in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

“Collaboration is something that we believe is key for success at Avenir Sports, and this tournament is a testament to the remarkable outcomes that can be achieved through the joint efforts of the LOI and NIFL.

"We are delighted to help provide an exciting platform for the top women’s footballers on the island to showcase their talents and we look forward to seeing what this year’s tournament brings.”

Eleven teams from the Women’s Premier Division and five teams from the Northern Irish Women’s Premiership will begin their group stage campaigns this weekend.

Last year’s champions Galway United will face Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds, the venue at which they secured the trophy in 2023 when they beat Cliftonville in the final.

Once the round-robin is complete, the quarter finals will take place on week ending June 23rd, the semi-finals will take place week ending July 21st and the Final will take place on the week ending August 18th.
