The 22 year old shot stopper will remain at Solitude until the end of the NIFL Premiership season.

Cliftonville and St Patrick's Athletic have reached an agreement for goalkeeper David Odumosu to remain with the Belfast club for the remainder of the season.

The Dundalk native has made 22 appearances so far for the Reds this season having arrived in the summer from St. Patrick’s Athletic.

Odumosu has made the most of his stint in the Irish League, coming in for plaudits for his performances from the Cliftonville faithful.

Despite starting the 2023 season as the Pats starting keeper after an injury to Danny Rogers in preseason, he quickly lost his position early in the campaign due to inconsistent performances.

Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph back in December, he spoke about how beneficial his loan move has been for his development.

“I want to progress my career as much as I can and moving to Cliftonville has been great for that. I expected a tough league, physically and mentally, and I got that in abundance,” he said.

Odumosu began his career with his hometown club Dundalk. The former Republic of Ireland under-20 international had previously played for Drogheda United before joining The Athletic in 2022.

Cliftonville face Ballymena United this Saturday as they look to close the gap on league leaders Linfield.
