LSL Senior Sunday round-up: Lucan United return to the top as Liffey Wanderers salvage dramatic point against Kilbarrack United

Ex-League of Ireland duo Jamie Doyle and Kevin Knight both netted for Lucan United as they returned to the top of the table.

The Dubliners edged past North Dublin outfit Killester Donnycarney at Hadden Park with a 2-1 victory.

But Lucan were deserving winners on Sunday morning.

Former Sunderland and Cabinteely striker Robert Dunne scored his sixth goal of the campaign for the Hadden Park men but it was not to be as Doyle and Knight pounced for the visitors.

Doyle’s latest strike was his third league hit of the season while ex-Bray Wanderers defender Knight got his first.

Meanwhile, there was drama at Ringsend Park on Friday evening as Liffey Wanderers fought back from 2-0 down to claim a point against KIlbarrack United.

Newly-promoted Kilbarrack have impressed this season in the top-flight and must have thought they were on course for a comfortable win when goals from Deiric Hyland and Jack Kelly put them in command.

But a brace from Caleb Gyasi levelled matters for Liffeys who ended two-game losing run with the draw.

Gyasi has now scored five league goals this season.
