Galway United have revealed that they will take on Premier League side Hull City in a glamour friendly on Friday February 26 at Terryland Park.

Sean Connor's side will take on The Tigers in a fixture the club hopes will attract a bumper crowd to the city venue given Hull's Irish connections.

Current Ireland internationals Kevin Kilbane, Stephen Hunt, and Paul McShane are all part of Phil Brown's squad and could feature in the one-off game.

Hull are likely bring a strong squad to the West given that they have no fixture that weekend and do not play again until March 7th.

The announcement caps a week of good news for The Tribesmen after they were awarded their Premier Division Licence for the 2010 season and convinced Ireland U-21 defender Seamus Conneely to put pen to paper on a new contract.
