Senior Sunday top two St Mochta's and Malahide United to face in tantalising Leinster Senior Cup third-round clash

Leinster Senior League frontrunners St Mochta’s face a trip to second-placed Malahide United in a tantalising Leinster Senior Cup third round fixture.

The sides are separated by just a point at the top of Senior Sunday – the highest level of intermediate football in the province – at the midway point in the season.

Mochta’s ran out 3-1 winners when the sides last met in the league, in October, at Porterstown Road but Malahide are unbeaten on their own patch this season.

The prize for both sides, should they win, will be the opportunity to test their mettle against a League of Ireland side when the remaining 12 sides are added to the mix in the fourth round.

Reigning Senior Sunday champions Crumlin United also face a short trip across the capital to tackle the winner of the tie between four-time FAI Junior Cup winners Sheriff YC and Clontarf.

Last season’s quarter-finalists Killester Donnycarney, who knocked out Shamrock Rovers in the fourth round, are home to New Oak Boys of Carlow.

And another all-Dublin tie will see Senior 1B side host a Bluebell United side who have captured three of the last five Leinster Senior League titles.

Leinster Senior Cup fourth round draw:

Sheriff YC or Clontarf FC v Crumlin Unted

Killester/Donnycarney v New Oak Boys

Ayrfield United v Bluebell United

Malahide United v St. Mochtas
