Graham Burke scored his second goal in as many games as Shamrock Rovers overcame Bohemians in the final Dublin derby of the season.

The striker, on loan from Preston North End until next summer, sent his header arrowing into the bottom corner following a pinpoint cross from Sean Kavanagh.

It’s the first time the Hoops have led against the Gypsies this season and their record, seven defeats in their last eight, made grim reading for the Hoops.

There will be few glum faces among the home support now as the Ireland international secured all three points for the Hoops to avoid an unwanted whitewash.
