Bohemians extend Aaron Barry loan from Cork City to the end of the season

Bohemians have confirmed that defender Aaron Barry will remain at the club until the end of season after his loan from Cork City was extended.

Barry has been on loan at Dalymount Park since the beginning of the season after falling behind homegrown talents Conor McCarthy and Sean McLoughlin in the Turner’s Cross pecking order.

“We are delighted to confirm Aaron Barry's loan from Cork City has been extended until the end of the season,” the club confirmed on Twitter.

The 26-year-old has had to be content with a squad rotation role at Bohs as a result of the fine form of centre-half partnership James Finnerty and Rob Cornwall.

The Gypsies boast the third-best defensive record in the division, commensurate with their position in the league table, and depth at the back will be key if they’re to navigate the upcoming fixture glut.

Bohs face Derry City at Dalymount Park on Monday night (kick-off 8pm) in a game that will bebroadcast live on Eir Sport 1.
